Anti Auto Tune - Propaganda

A summary of our progress:

I - 9/8/2009

We discussed various ideas from religion to pornography, and decided on a campaign against the use of auto tune in music. We did some research on these sites to get some ideas:

We took our positions on auto tune being over used as well as a cheap way to get away with not being able to sing. To sum it up we felt it makes music fake.

II - 10/28/2009

We discussed what our message was for our campaign. How extreme we wanted to be. We choose to be very straight foreword and hard hitting. Using phrases that convey that Auto tune is killing music.

I shared a video with Ben that represented how easily it is to use auto tune.

We play with the idea of satirically selling auto tune as a device to turn untalented people talented.

We decide we are going to represent a consumer perspective and not a musician perspective.

III

Our idea evolves into our final one in which we decide to go more drastic from our previous idea of selling auto tune satirically to representing auto tune destroying music. We decide on an image of a tape with its ribbon torn out for our image. We play around with a few different phrases to add on top of the image. We plan to use "Where were you the day the music died."
