Entry 5: "Obama Needs To Be Impeached"

Well Dr. Lovejoy, I'm at a loss. I know that this guy was trying to persuade me to think something, but he ended up turning me against the "cause" he is standing (or sitting) for. I feel sorry for him because it must be disheartening when your propaganda video is counterproductive.

Okay so this guy pretty much says a lot of nothing in almost 8 minutes, besides the fact that President Obama needs to be impeached for banning flavored chewing tobacco (his favorite whisky copenhagen in particular). Since he really doesn't have much of an argument, he ends up resorting to using name calling, as his primary propaganda technique. He covers a lot of ground with that, and makes sure not to leave anyone out. This guy ends up using glittering generalities to defend his rights to say what ever his brain can process between his chewing, by saying he's a "real American". All in all he ends up chewing up everything he says into a big, whisky flavored, spit soaked wad of false dilemma. The president's intentions are not to make you suffer, but to protect children from starting bad habits. I mean think about it, he was (maybe still is) a smoker too! To be frank, I don't necessarily agree with the ban either. Or at least I didn't until I watched someone chewing tobacco for 8 minutes. So good job Skoalrebel, you converted me to the wrong side. Ironic. EPIC FAIL.

Entry 4: Soviet Animated Propaganda

In this animated Soviet Russian propaganda piece, a fallen Nazi general disguises himself as a sheep in order to get aid from the UK and US. As he recovers he also revives the Fascism and spreads it. Only to be stopped at the Berlin Wall and ultimately the treaty between The USSR and Germany. This propaganda cartoon uses the technique of appeal to fear and false dilemma to convince the targeted Russian citizens of the 70's that the Capitalists are aiding the Fascists. They are also saying that there will be resurgence of Nazis, but Russia will remain strong in fighting them and not aiding them. This is illustrated in the cartoon by the Nazi General not being able to break into the Berlin Wall. This video also uses the technique of pinpointing the enemy by showing that Nazi Germany, The UK, and The US are working cooperatively together.

Entry 2 : Republican Votes Only

This example of propaganda is a parody of an old style propaganda poster, as well as a parody of the "Uncle Sam Wants You" poster. This was made for an audience of democrat voters. It uses satire to underline the suspected voter fraud in Florida for the 2000 elections. While also suggesting that Republicans do not care about Black, or Jews. This is also saying that Republicans are using scare tactics to get votes by saying "were in a war lets stick with a Republican president."

Entry 1 : Socialized Medicine

This is a flowchart I found searching for "Socialized Medicine" propaganda. The flowchart is very large, confusing, and near impossible to follow. The makers of this propaganda tool are using fear as a technique of propaganda. The chart is meant to scare you into believing that if there is Universal Healthcare you may never get to see a doctor. It details insane hoops you will have to jump through in order to get the care you need. I believe the audience for this message is mainly those apposed to Universal Healthcare already. Secondly I think it is targeting people ignorant about how Universal Healthcare would work. If people don't know any better they will instantly look at this and denounce Universal Healthcare because of the chart's pure complexity.
